Abstract

Objective Citizenship rights and social dignity are considered fundamental pillars of societies. With the glorious Islamic Revolution entering its second phase, various concepts outlined in the Statement of the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution require identification and elaboration. The primary objective of the present research is to elucidate and analyze the role of the full realization of citizenship rights and the enhancement of social dignity as a foundation and essential prerequisite for the formation of sustainable social capital, within the framework of the Statement of the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution, employing a mixed-methods approach. Method: This applied research adopts a mixed-method design with a concurrent transformative approach, implemented qualitatively and qualitatively. In the first phase, thematic axes were extracted from the Statement of the Second Phase of the Revolution using qualitative documentary analysis to guide semi-structured interviews. In the second phase, grounded theory was utilized to identify the indicators, components, and dimensions of this domain. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 18 participants, adhering to the principle of theoretical saturation. The obtained statements, with the consent and coordination of experts, were coded using the systematic approach of Strauss and Corbin. Results: Findings revealed 179 initial statements, 82 open codes, 23 axial codes, and 4 selective codes, which were recognized as the dimensions, components, and indicators of citizenship rights and social dignity in light of the Second Step Statement of the Islamic Revolution. The results indicated that the Statement of the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution serves as a key overarching document for the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution, pursuing significant and impactful objectives. Conclusions: According to the research findings, fundamental components such as citizenship rights and social dignity are regarded as vital sources of co-created value and core competencies within society, contributing to the formation of sustainable social capital.
