Effect of Components of Social Capital on Organizational Innovation (Study in Telecommunication Company of Qom)

Abstract

Given the importance of innovation in a stormy environment with ongoing changes for the organizations, in this study, to identify a noteworthy aspect of community change from the viewpoint of organizational behavior we attempt to examine social capital of employees in an involved organization in change. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of social capital components (cognitive, element, relation) on the organizational innovation. This study is an applied research and the population consisted of Telecommunication Employees in Qom state that among of them 75 people selected randomly. We used Ghoshal and Nahapite standard questionnaire to measure social capital and a combination of Jimenez, Panyades, and Prajogo and Sohal questionnaires to measure organizational innovation. Multiple linear regression was applied to test the research hypotheses. Research results showed that from components of social capital, only cognitive component affects on innovation.
