The Role of Political Intelligence and Social Capital on Effective Change Management in Khuzestan Water and Electricity Organization Employees

Abstract

One of the important processes of human resource management in organizations is the development of social capital through the political intelligence of employees. Today, social capital plays a key role in the development and productivity of organizations. Social capital can help employees achieve the organization's goals and effectiveness. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of political intelligence and social capital on effective change management among the employees of Khuzestan Water and Electricity organization. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of execution. The statistical population of experts, managers, and staff officials of Khuzestan Water and Electricity organization was considered, the number of this statistical population included 3000 people. Using Cochran's formula, 340 people were considered as a statistical sample. Standard questionnaires of effective change management, managers' political intelligence, and social capital have been used to collect data. In order to test the research hypotheses, the structural equation modeling method was used with the help of Lisrel software. The findings of the research indicated the confirmation of the effect of political intelligence and social capital on effective change management in the water and electricity organization of Khuzestan province. Also, the results confirmed the mediating role of social capital.
