چکیده

Objective: With the ever-increasing demand for blood resources worldwide, there is a great need to ensure a safe and adequate supply of blood products, and recruiting and retaining blood donors remains one of the main challenges for blood transfusion agencies. The main goal of this research is to research the future development of blood donation culture in Iranian society with the role of social capital.

Method: In terms of the purpose, the present research is considered to be an applied research type, and in terms of the type of method, it is considered a mixed research method. The statistical population of the present study are 10 experts of the blood transfusion organization. Purposive sampling method was used to select sample people. Fuzzy Delphi and Micmac analysis were used for data analysis.

Findings: The findings of this research show that social capital is the most influential factor in blood donation. Also, among the factors, philanthropy and public education were placed in the first priority of effectiveness. The results obtained from the effects analysis showed that social capital had the largest amount of direct and indirect effects. Philanthropy and public education also got the highest score of direct and indirect dependence among other criteria.

Conclusion: If the blood transfusion organization wants to avoid the problem of lack of blood donors in the coming decades, it must keep the number of donors at the level required by the society by creating a culture and training that promotes voluntary donation.
